"What do you like best about Happy Valley School?"

The school truly cares about children learning.

The back-to-basics curriculum.

That my daughter is being challenged and loves it. I cannot believe how much she has learned this school year.

The phonics program.

I like the Back-to-Basics program. I loved the "Learn to Read" books in kindergarten.

The learning process and challenge given to the children to reach the goals the school has set for them to grow.

I like the school and the atmosphere.

The expectations of the school regarding high academics.

The aides are good and care a lot about the kids. They have really helped my child.

Teachers take time to talk with you.

They take the kids to the next level of learning when the kids are ready. My daughter is doing first and second grade work! In kindergarten!

The time the staff takes to re-test and re-teach to make sure the child learns the subject.

How involved the teachers are.

My daughter has continually been challenged and moved ahead.

Enthusiasm for learning.

Giving the children the opportunity to excel and follow through.

School and home communication-flyers, newsletters, weekly assignment folders.

The idea of placement by ability.

Academic set-up (skill levels), proximity to home, safety.

The caring of the staff. Everyone my child comes in contact with cares about her needs. Her education is everything.

All day kindergarten. Strong academics.

My child is in kindergarten. He went in not knowing how to read and write, and now he's reading, writing, and spelling. It's great.

The academic challenge. The rules.

We love the wonderful learning environment, beautiful facility. I had very high expectations before school. I was waiting for something not to live up to those expectations, but everything has-and exceeded!! We are thrilled with the school and have 2 more children that we are anxious to have experience Happy Valley.

I think it is a great school. I like the fact that kids are tested and placed where they need to be and not where their age indicates they should be.

It feels like a private school community.

The mastering of an assignment of 85% or higher. My child struggles and I know that he is not going to be missing out on work that will be built upon later.

Positive attitudes about most things from the administration to teachers. Thank you so much for all you have done.

The teachers and administration are open to suggestions.

The discipline and respect.

Mastery based program.

They really care about the safety of the kids.

School is designed to keep children as challenged as possible. The basics are taught.

The emphasis on learning-not entertainment.

My child is really enthusiastic about school.

Positive atmosphere, emphasis on academics and good behavior.
